FAMILY: Married Sandy Mahl (fellow OSU student from Owasso, OK) in 1986; Daughter Taylor Mayne Pearl born July 8, 1992. Daughter August Anna born May 3, 1994. Daughter Allie Colleen born July 28, 1996. Parents: Troyal Raymond Brooks and Colleen Carroll Brooks. Colleen Carroll recorded for Capitol Records in the 1950's and performed with Red Foley on the Ozark Jubilee. Siblings: Jim, Jerry, Mike, Betsy (former Stillwater acoustic guitarist/ background vocalist) and Kelly (Tour Manager).

ADDITIONAL SONGWRITING CREDITS: Garth co-wrote "Walk Outside The Lines" (the title cut/first single from the 1993 Marshall Tucker Band album) & "Like We Never Had A Broken Heart" (a hit single for Trisha Yearwood). Additionally, Trisha recorded "Victim Of The Game." "What'cha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" was co-written by Garth and released as a duet single with Chris LeDoux. Chris also recorded Garth's song, "Slow Down." Crystal Gayle recorded "What He's Doing Now," and Pat Alger included "That Summer," which he wrote with Garth, on his Liberty Songwriter's Series album. Barry Manilow recorded "If Tomorrow Never Comes" for his The Complete Collection And Then Some box set. Tanya Tucker recorded "The Thunder Rolls," and it is included on her 1994 box set.

AWARDS: Among Garth's many awards are a Grammy, 11 CMA Awards, 14 ACM Awards, many People's Choice Awards, World Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. Garth has 2 albums certified Diamond (10 million certified sales) albums, 10 certified multi-Platinum (1 million certified sales), and 18 #1 singles on the Billboard charts.
